Jack and Lauren’s wedding was a relaxed, joy-filled celebration at the beautifully minimal Assembly Yard in Fremantle, one of my absolute favourite venues for a modern, light-filled wedding.

Just tucked off Stevens Street, Assembly Yard is a hidden gem that feels like a stylish warehouse meets urban garden party. It’s perfect for couples who want a blank canvas to make the day their own. Jack and Lauren did just that, with Weddings & Events Unlimited bringing everything together so seamlessly.

The couple chose to have everything onsite, keeping the vibe easy and laid-back. After the ceremony, we ducked into Fremantle’s iconic West End for portraits, all heritage buildings, old stone walls, and that classic Freo charm. We even stumbled across a new favourite photo spot (access pending, ha) — a quiet little driveway with some sweet old sheds. Then, just to keep things interesting, we passed a police siege as we left Freo. Never a dull moment.

The night started with Jack & Lauren roller skating into their reception which was an epic way to start the party back at Assembly Yard. With festoon lights strung up and music playing under the stars, it was everything a summer wedding should be — fun, beautiful and totally them.
