Shelly from @smilephotographyperth captured our little family one month after Charlie Finn’s very early arrival. I was not at all organised yet for a newborn shoot, and we were in hospital longer than normal newborns so missed the sleepy baby window a little. I am so grateful we waited and had Shelly photograph us at home as she understands that our dog is more than a pet but is a part of our family, our furry child who had become so protective of me while I was pregnant and now watches over Charlie in the same way. This image of Charlie Finn and Tali with us is going straight up on the wall and we will treasure it forever.

Lauren & Stephen... It has been a while since I have posted, mainly because two days before I was to shoot this wedding which was to be my last at 35 weeks pregnant before maternity leave, I went into very early labour down south (I had got myself down south a couple of days earlier to do a couple of shoots and go to Lauren & Stephen's wedding rehearsal). All plans of a relaxing weekend down south with an amazing wedding on Saturday flew out the window and from Busselton hospital I was on the phone to the amazing Rebecca to implement plan B (that I never thought I would have to think about) and Beck & Shelly stepped in for me and photographed this amazing couple's day! My little man was born at Bunbury SJOG in the early hours of Friday morning via emergency C section and we have spent the last 3 weeks in part shock of the early arrival and staring at the amazing little man that could not wait to get into the world (at 7lb we think he most likely ran out of room, they told me he was tracking big at 30 weeks and they were right). Lots more from this wedding to come and I am slowly finishing off wedding edits in between feeds...

It's amazing what you can catch in your veil at a wedding...
