This year I have been so privileged to photograph some amazing weddings and Katie & Dave's wedding was no different. Katie has a very cool, quirky sense of style and that definitely came through in their wedding.
After Katie booked me, we found out that we were very, very distant cousins as her Grandmother's maiden name was Pointon and we have common great, great, great grandparents I think. What a very small world it is!
Anyway, on this hot and humid April day, Katie & Dave married in the stage area of Hyde Park with a backdrop of Plane Trees and what remains of the lake. Katie has a very cool, quirky sense of style and that definitely came through in their wedding. Apart from her awesome dress and unique bouquet Katie surprised the wedding congregation by walking down the aisle with bagpipes playing, a shout out to her Scottish heritage.
After the ceremony, the wedding party has some photos in Hyde Park before heading to Fremantle for a quick walk around the streets for some photos while the guests were arriving at Moore & Moore.
Katie got Dave's wedding band engraved as another surprise!
Um, don't try home maintenance on a wedding day? But great result!
Sparkly soles on the shoes!!!
I think Dave might be a little bit of a joker?
Check out the amazing bouquet!
A very unique guest book!
Isn't the Moore & Moore art gallery an amazing place for a wedding reception?
Thankyou, Katie & Dave for inviting me to be a part of your awesome day! Hope you enjoy your images!
