RUSTIC COUNTRY FARM WEDDING | KAITLIN & JONO

High on a hill, overlooking Dambagee Farm, Kaitlin and Jono were married in front of family, friends and their furry child, Schnitzel Von Krumm.  After meeting while both attending University in Perth, Jono headed back to the family farm and they had a long distance relationship for a few years before Kaitlin was able to join Jono on the farm.

I was excited to photograph this gorgeous couple in fields of canola, but Jono was more interested in checking the growth and showing off the crop to the groomsmen. Such is farming life I assume, always thinking and worrying about your crops or stock. Kaitlin had a gorgeous dress designed by Elvi Designs, specifications? Make sure it is off the ground so the red farm earth doesn't end up on the bottom of the dress, very practical and we could see her cute pink shoes all day too!

Dambagee Farm was originally a sheep farm, and the old shearing shed was the location for the reception. It was a family affair in getting the shed ready to host a glamorous reception event, with lots of heavy lifting, scrubbing down of walls and floors and a custom made bar for the event. It all came together beautifully, with walls decorated by 1000 paper cranes Kaitlin made (and Jono, who made three) out of Farm Weekly issues, a modern, rural Australian take on the Japanese tradition that you are granted much and prosperity to the couple who start a marriage with 1000 paper cranes hanging.
