LAURA + ALAN {PERTH ZOO WEDDING}

Got to love a touch of vintage at a wedding and the beautiful Zoo ceremony and reception at the Homestead barn at the Perth Zoo fit the theme of Laura & Alan's wedding perfectly!  Laura got ready in a beautiful rented house in Fremantle, complete with rails in the ceiling, perfect for hanging dresses on for photos!  Dru Soltys was the celebrant at the touching ceremony on the oak lawn, and as all the guests headed to the Homestead Barn for games of quoits and a few drinks and nibbles, the bridal party set out in the Zoo golf buggies to have some photos around the gorgeous Zoo grounds.

Laura's gorgeous dress from Collezione.

The flowers were from Blossom and Bloom and they provided the gorgeous flowers at the reception which were bonbonaires as well.

How cool is the cake from Say Cheese Towers!  It is definitely my kind of cake (I am a cheese addict...).

Big thanks to Holly for second shooting with me!

Congratulations Laura & Alan!  Hope you had an amazing day and enjoy the photos!

RHIANNE + RUSSELL {PERTH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY}

Rhianne & Russell had a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Perth Zoo, in the Japanese Garden.  This was my first wedding that I had shot at the Perth Zoo and I was so impressed with the location and the efficiency of the volunteers that helped with all the behind the scenes details.  When Rhianne's Dad was walking her down the aisle, I don't think I have ever seen a Dad look happier or prouder, although he lost brownie points after adding 'gladly' to the giving away section of the ceremony :)  After the ceremony and family portraits, the volunteers whisked us away on the golf buggies to fit into our slot at the carousel!  We got their 15 minutes before closing time so they got the carousel moving!

They then went to King Street for some portraits on the street, with some amazing light reflecting off the brick buildings.  I love how you can take photos in front of Tiffany's, which must happen at least once every weekend in Perth, but the shop assistants there always poke their heads in the windows to check out the wedding with a smile on their face!  It is nice to know that working in the business of love, they love to see a wedding.

After King Street we headed to the Bell Tower to meet up with the boat that was to ferry the bridal party to The Boatshed for the reception.  Rhianne & Russell love spending time on their boat, and according to every speech that night, Russell is completely boat-mad so this part of their wedding day really reflected who they were as a couple.  They walked in and had their first dance, then settled down for a lovely evening with the beautiful view of the Swan River and Perth surrounding them.

Big thanks to Jas again for second shooting.  Rhianne & Russell, I hope you had an amazing day and enjoy the images!
