My boyfriend came along to a wedding I photographed a couple of weekends ago and helped me out by second shooting, so I thought I would step into his world and followed him to the beach with the dog on the weekend to get some shots of him kitesurfing. Apparently the wind was cranking and the swell was… who am I kidding it was cold and windy, the sand was stinging my eyes but Lola loved running up and down the beach chasing all the kitesurfers!

The happy Lola-bear: I rarely get a shot of her looking happy!!!

I have just got a new advertising space on Easy Weddings
Check it out here.
It is really hard choosing where to advertise, especially since there are so many sites out there!
This site was recommended by a client a while ago and then the other week I got an offer to advertise for three months free!! Bonus! It gives me a chance to see if it actually will increase the number of people coming to my site and blog to see my work (I think it has - it went up yesterday and I have got over 60 hits on the blog this morning!). I have previously spent over $1000 on advertising on one site to not see any results which is really hard to take as a solo operator. I was not going to advertise anywhere else after this mistake, but the trial offer changed my mind.
As I cannot post without an image and I am feeling cold and miserable already this winter, I am going to post my favourite image from last summer where I got to have a weekend in Rottnest with the BF and friends. Just to remind me that summer will be on the way in 5 months.

I met Michelle & Joe on Sunday at Kings Park for their pre-wedding photo shoot. Luckily it stopped raining for the session but it was still very cold at 10.30am. They were such good sports about trekking around Kings Park in the cold, and I think that it was worth it - it was very hard to pick what photos to post!

I am very excited this morning - my first photo in the Wedding Page of the Sunday Times!!!
The gorgeous Kaya and Gavin, whose wedding I covered in March finally have appeared after about 3 weeks of looking for it! I got an email from them announcing the good news and I ran Lola (the dog) down to the shops with me to pick it up. I will have to drive back later and pick up a few more copies…
A photo of the picture in the Sunday Times:

My sister is 7 months pregnant and I am hosting her babyshower in a few weeks so needed to get a few pictures to put on the invite.

Good to know that with impending motherhood, Yvette has become mature and sensible.
(Sorry she is my sister and I couldn’t hold my tongue!)

Cassandra and Scott were married on the 6th June at Rosehill Country Club and the sun was shining for this winter wedding. It was such a lovely wedding and the couple looked stunning and so happy all day! It was so hard trying to pick a few photos to put here so I hope you enjoy the selection.

I love this image of Scott’s Father’s hands with the rings.

The girl’s looked stunning and Cassandra’s dress was simple, detailed and beautiful.

I think Cass & Scott had an advantage on the dance floor over most couples due to Cass’s ballroom dancing skills and they moved so gracefully for their first dance.

Just a few favourites from Chris & Mel’s wedding at the end of March. Their ceremony was held at Whitman Park and the reception on the Bells, cruising the beautiful Swan River as the sun went down.

The team at encycle consultancy wanted some casual but professional portfolio shots for their website. Here are some of the results which I think show that the encycle team have a great working relationship.
Portfolio shots do not have to be stuffy and serious, they can be fun and professional at the same time.
